Butcher Wet Fly
The Butcher Wet Fly is a universal pattern that has appeal on many bodies of water. It is a stimulator fly that creates interest in the water. The credit for creation is given to G.S. Jewhurst of Tunbridge, Kent, UK. It is a very old fly, and originally it was known as "Moon's Fly," after a very good fisherman who popularized it. Mr. Moon was a butcher, and tier William Blacker renamed the fly "The Butcher" in 1838, after the trade of Mr. Moon.
All flies are tied with American sourced materials including Hareline Dubbin Materials and Whiting Farm's Hackles & Capes and are tied on premium hooks.
