Alder Wet Fly
No reviews
This Alder Wet Fly pattern is a very old traditional pattern that originated in England. This classic Alder Fly pattern is more suited to the American Alder and is best fished earlier in the season.
The Alder life cycle begins underground and it's life on the wing is very short. spends most of it's life buried underground and has a very short winged stage which is why many may not be familiar with it.
However, if you are fishing with the Alder be ready to catch fish, as it has a reputation for catching fish. Simple is sometime best and it has been in production since 1496, so try it. You are going to like the way it fishes.
All flies are tied with American sourced materials including Hareline Dubbin Materials and Whiting Farm's Hackles & Capes and are tied on premium hooks.
