Silvey's Crane Fly Dry Fly

This Crane fly is a very popular pattern on the Deschutes River, Bow River and an Arkansas favorite.

Crane fly is a common name referring to any member of the family Tipulidae of insects in the order Diptera, true flies in the superfamily Tipuloidea. Cylindrotominae, Limoniinae, and Pediciinae have been ranked as subfamilies of Tipulidae by most authors, though occasionally elevated to family rank.  In europe the Crane fly is often called a "Daddy Long Legs" .

Crane flies in general are a seasonal pattern best utilized in the summer months and will yield great results as they represent a larger meal to hungry trout.

All flies are tied with American sourced materials including Hareline Dubbin Materials and Whiting Farm's Hackles & Capes and are tied on premium hooks.
